Kandovan

Kandovan is an ancient village nestled in the Sahand mountains of Iran. The unique cone-shaped homes have been there for over 800 years, attracting visitors from all over the world. In 2010, a little girl named Shirin was captured in the album, helping her family in their store, while her grandfather, a shepherd, looks on. One picture shows Shirin and a tourist boy sharing a moment. There might be a true love story, who knows? but it's easy to imagine Kandovan has witnessed many such interactions over the centuries. We hope that today, Shirin is happy and the village has preserved its unique beauty and history for generations to come.
